What you will find on this page and get from the evangelism ministry at Truth Bible Church:
1. A Biblical understanding of evanglism and apologetics. 2. An increased and godly burden for the lost that will spurn you into action. 3. Equipped to have an answer ready in season and out of season and rightly dividing the word of truth.
"But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to everyman that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear"
- 1 Peter 3:15
Are you prepared to give an answer for the hope of Christ to everyone who asks you? The Greek word for "answer" is "Apologia" from which we get the words "Apology" and "Apologetics." Christian Apologetics is defending the faith intelligently with sound reason, logic, history, science, archeology, and argument. While this is something all Christians must be prepared to do as Peter's epistle instructs us, something even more vital to living the faith is evangelism. You may notice the word "angel" within evangelism. The word angel means: messenger. Who is to be a messenger and what is the message? We will spend some time looking into Evangelism and Apologetics so please read on. Keep in mind that approximately 150,000 people die every day. How many do you think step into eternity without Christ?
"And just as it is appointed for man to die once, and after that comes judgment,"
- Hebrews 9:27, ESV
So what reasons do you have for NOT sharing your faith?
Do these Eight Reasons sound familiar?

The Great Commission
"And Jesus came and said to them, All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age."
- Matthew 28:18-20, ESV
Read the Sermon by C. H. Spurgeon: "Awake! Awake!"
Depraved indifference. What if you saw a child drowning in a pool and did nothing to save them while you were only a few steps away and an accomplished swimmer? If you don't know how to swim, then we will learn a few life saving strokes here. If you don't think countless souls are drowning around you take another look.
"For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God."
- 1 Corinthians 1:18, KJV
"But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned."
- 1 Corinthians 2:14, KJV
"Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine."
- 2 Timothy 4:2, KJV
"For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart."
- Hebrews 4:12, ESV
There is a very popular book out now on the subject of evangelism and how you can accomplish it by walking across the room. Strangely, the author of this book discourages his readers from quoting scripture when witnessing. Based on the scripture already quoted above and others below (like Matthew 28:20, Hebrews 4:12, and 2 Timothy 4:2 to name a few) the Bible is very clear. Do it! The Word of God must be spoken. His Word convicts and convinces and the Holy Spirit converts. Not the words of men. Know your Bible and speak it to the unbeliever. To the author of that book I would quote Psalm 118:8, "It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man."
"The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple."
- Psalms 19:7, KJV
"Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring usunto Christ, that we might be justified by faith."
- Galatians 3:24, KJV
Repentance and Faith
"Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ."
