2. The Trinity
There is one God[1] eternally existing in three persons:[2] God the Father,[3] God the Son,[4] and God the Holy Spirit.[5] Each person of the Trinity is equal,[6] perfect in nature,[7] and possesses the same attributes.[8] They are all worthy of precisely the same worship,[9] confidence,[10] and obedience.[11] God is one essence[12] consisting of three distinct persons[13] having different, yet complimentary, roles [14]and appearances throughout Scripture.[15]
