7. Angels
God created an innumerable[1] company of glorious,[2] spiritual beings,[3] known as angels, to serve Him.[4] They serve God as His messengers of both the spoken[5] and written[6] revelation of God and delivered His messages,[7] divine judgments,[8] and miraculous signs.[9] They praise God as worshipers[10] before His throne.[11] They battle fallen angels in the heavenly realms.[12] They aid the followers of God by providing wisdom,[13] protection,[14] provision,[15] and assisting in prayer.[16] Angels are invisible spirits that at God’s direction can appear in a human form.[17] They gather the elect for glory[18] and unbelievers for judgment.[19] Angels are named[20] and organized as archangels,[21] cherubim,[22] and seraphim.[23]
